ExperienceI want to teach and tutor students so much that I have even volunteered my free time with children just to have more experience. When I taught English as a second language course every student I had signed up for more classes. I did volunteer work with the Peace Corps and was at a school in South Africa where I taught poor students English, math, and how to use a computer. I have a science education in biology, but I want to concentrate on helping students with their reading and writing. My education centers on science, but I am have very strong communication skills. I attended Tulane University and UMSL. I avidly search for new teaching methods on the internet so I will keep up with new techniques. I can tutor well for the language parts of SAT and GRE because I had high scores in both areas when I took the tests. I speak and write French well and can tutor that language in addition to English. I recently stayed in France and had the opportunity to develop my language skills there. I really love teaching and I think I have the ability to inspire students I tutor. Other subjects I tutor besides science, writing, and standardized testing include history, government, psychology, and social studies.
