I am in my second year as a history major at Truman State University. Along with history, I am also studying English and pre-education. Having taken five advanced placement tests in high school, I am quite familiar with the advanced placement system.I have always loved working as tutor. While in high school, I enjoyed assisting my classmates by helping them develop a greater understanding of their course material. In addition to tutoring my classmates, I also assisted my younger brothers in completing their homework and making sense of difficult concepts.When I was in high school, I worked for a program that developed curriculum for preschool students. My responsibilities included planning lessons, teaching, and entertaining young learners. I have further leadership experience as a counselor, where I spent a week camping with all the fifth grade students in the school district. It was my job to ensure that all safety standards were met, while promoting a fun and enriching environment.I am currently working at the local community center, where I entertain groups of children, through exciting games and activities, and I assist struggling students with their homework. When I have free time, I like to read books, write, and spend time with my friends. I hope to study in Europe next year.
